| President Signs Historic High-Speed Rail Measure |
On October 16 the President signed the Rail Bill which contained the UCR technical corrections that: (1) Removes trailers from the definition of a commercial motor vehicle for determining fleet size under UCR (beginning in 2010) (2) Excludes motor carriers operating solely in Hawaii from being subject to UCR (3) Requires ¾ vote of the UCR Board to exclude carriers from the definition of the term motor carrier Public Law 110-432 |
